From Queen Elizabeth, turn right at Kikorongo, off Kasese Mbarara road and take Mpondwe road. Drive up to Kiburara junction and turn right then drive for 15.2km to Kiswahiri roundabout, past Kagando hospital. Take a right turn at Kiswahili round-about and head to Kyarumba town council where the office is located, on the left before crossing the main bridge.

Blue star homestay is located in a village setting of Sipi falls, in the foothills of Mount Elgon National park. It is a family of four, a couple with two kids. The home offers three rooms with a capacity of three beds a night. The family has a small backyard farm with goat’s cows and chicken. Rwenjeru community campsite is located near Lake Mburo National park, on the road to Katengyeto gate. It is a community of cattle keepers and their livelihoods rotate around cows with little supplementary farming income. the common cows are the traditional Ankole long horned cattle and the cows here are given names like any other members of the family. During the visit to Rwenjeru community, the local guide will take you on a cattle keeping tour showing you how they tend to their cows; giving them water, singing for them, setting fire for them or calling each one of them by name.
