This tour is specifically in Mabamba on the shores of Lake Victoria central Uganda.  You will be spending from 1 to 3 hours looking for the shoebill as it moves from places on its fish hunting journeys. The journey is through a natural water canal leading into lake Vitoria, sarounded by wetlands on either side

After enough time with the shoebill, you will retire to the mainland and transfer to Kampala or Entebbe for dinner and overnight, ending the trip.

You will be taking the most beautiful scenarios and views on Ugandas country side during this 15 days cycling trip. The kabaka trail is a good representation of the oldest kingdom of Uganda, the Buganda kingdom. the trail is a trace of the the most popular kings of Buganda kingdom. the trail gives you brief but rich incite of Buganda heritage and how things were done during the times of kings. You will visit the traditional tombs, the ceremonial meeting places, the prison ditches and the holly Buddo hill with the coronation site where new kings are enthroned. you will be walking the footsteps of Buganda kingdom tracing thousands of years back.

During the tour, you will be listening to the story of the 51 tribes, and their traditional duties in the king’s palace. Participate in the traditional activities such as cooking, medicinal tours, making backcloth from a tree bark or dances at the different cultural sites. You will also be waking the special walks that the kings took around the cultural sites to take the feeling of being a king.

Buganda kingdom is one of the oldest kingdoms in Africa that welcomed the British to Uganda. Much that shaped Uganda as a state happened under the rule of the Buganda kings and the first president of Uganda Sir Edward Mutesa 1 was a king of Buganda. You will know that the name Uganda comes from Buganda, by removing “B” that was done to make the county suitable for more tribes than just the Baganda people.

his trip is ideal for people having business visits in Kampala and seeking a break for a few days. It is a three days trip and can either be fully done or you can choose to do part, from one day. The car will pick you from the hotel in the morning and return you every evening.
