The Elephant home is a tourist accommodation facility located opposite Queen Elizabeth national park, on Kasese – Mbarara road. The lodge offers self contained rooms and a campground, a restaurant serving meals and drinks, handicrafts and local community tours. Located close to the park gate, this accommodation is the most suitable base for starting the game drive on Kasenyi tracks.

The elephant home provides one of the most affordable accessible and yet comfortable accommodations around queen Elizabeth national park. The friendly staff m spacous clean rooms and delicious meals are favorite of most guest at this lodge. Guest who stay here also find it easy to exploring the surrounding attractions such as the Katwe traditional salt mining, the crater lakes tour in Bunyaruguru, chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge and kalinzu forest.

The property being close to the park, sometimes wildlife such as elephants can be seen visiting the lodge. On a lucky night, guests sleep to the loughs of hyena and the roars of lion in the Savannah of queen Elizabethan national park. Every morning, guest will be woken up by the various resident birds at the lodge.

The elephant home is a member of Uganda community tourism association (UCOTA). our services are regulated by  UCOTA through provision of timely training to our staff. Besides providing quality accommodation services to the tourists visiting queen Elizabeth national park, the lodge also empowers the community by supporting community based tourism activities outside the park. This is a way to channel some of the tourism revenue to the local community. These include activities supported include; community walks/ tours, boat cruises, Boda-boda safaris crafts sales, traditional dances and workshops to enable the visitors explore beyond wildlife.
