You will be looking for the least explored animals and cultures of Uganda as you visit some of the parks with the largest herds of wildlife. The five wildlife areas to be visited on this trip include; Ziwa rhino sanctuary, Murchison falls national park, Kibale national park, Rwenzori mountains, Queen Elizabeth and Lake Mburo national park. You will participate in game walks, game drives and boat cruises allowing you to see wildlife at close range in their natural habitat. As you drive between the parks relax at the lodges or participate in the game drives and village tours, the scenery is very rewarding. The parks are surrounded by indigenous communities offering cultural encounters you will never find anywhere else on earth.

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe airport: The guest will be picked by one of our guides and transferred via the Lake Victoria shores town of Entebbe, to the Kampala hotel for dinner and overnight. Forest cottages (B)

Day 2: Kampala – Ziwa – Murchison falls: Early morning, after breakfast, start the journey to Ziwa Rhino and wildlife sanctuary, arriving mid-morning. On arrival at the sanctuary embark on the rhino tracking experience that will take about 2 hours. After the rhino tracking experience, you will head to Murchison falls through Masindi town where you will break for lunch then head to The Park for dinner and overnight. Optional: participating in the local cooking tour with the local Banyoro women at Boomu women’s campsite. Sambiya River lodge cottages or bandas (BLD)

Day 3: Murchison: After an early morning breakfast; embark on a half day game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile. Game in this area includes Giraffe, Elephant, Harte beest, Lion, Uganda Kob, Oribi and a variety of savannah and woodland birds. Return to the Lodge and have lunch. After lunch, is the best time for a boat cruise along the river Nile for game viewing at a close range. This is a paradise of the Hippo and Crocodiles. You have an option to disembark and trek to the top of the falls, to be picked by the driver guide after complete viewing of the falls from above. Day 4: Murchison – Kibale: After an early breakfast, transfer to Kibale National Park via Bugungu gate. Here you will take the great views of Lake Albert shores and the escarpment as you drive through and up the escarpment which is part of the western leg of the East African rift valley. Arrive in Kibale National Park in late afternoon. Isunga lodge or CVK lakeside resort (BLD)

Day 5: Kibale – Rwenzori: After breakfast, head for Kibale forest national park for a half-day walk in the search of primates. Black and white Columbus monkey, red tailed monkey, baboon, Gray-cheeked mangabeys or the chimpanzee are a common sight. After lunch, you have up to three hours that you can either use for the community swamp walk at Bigodi wetland sanctuary or the crater lakes tour, then transfer to the Ruboni community camp in the base of Rwenzori Mountains. Day 6: Rwenzori: This morning, you have options of participating in the cultural activities, including; the village walk and traditional dance or to experience the life in the mountain people. During the entire stay, you will be looking to spot some of the three horned chameleons at the camp and in the forest. After an early lunch start the 2400m hill trek to spend an overnight camping above the village. You have chances of viewing the margarita snow peaks on the Rwenzori in the evening or early morning, basing on the weather. Margarita peak is the highest peak on the Ruwenzori’s and Uganda at 5019m. This evening, you will pitch your tents, dinner and overnight.  Ruboni hills top (BLD)

Day 7: Rwenzori – Queen Elizabeth: Wake up early in the morning to look for the views and sites of the Margarita and other peaks of Rwenzori in the west and the sunrise in the east. After this photo moment, take a cup of tea then return to the community, via the forest, for your late breakfast and a shower. After breakfast, head to Queen Elizabeth national park via Kasese town where you may want to do some shopping. Arrive to lunch at the Elephant home. After lunch, drive to lake Katwe to participate in the traditional salt mining experience. You have high chances of spotting some wildlife in the park on your way to and from lake Katwe. Day 8: Queen Elizabeth: After an early morning cup of tea at 6:30am, depart for the game drive on the northern part of the park along the Kasenyi track. This is the best time for opportunities of viewing the cats in action owing to the vast population of Uganda Kobs. Later, return for breakfast, and the rest of the morning can be spent in the community where you can visit the traditional. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga for witnessing solitary Buffalo, Hippo and other animals at the edge of the channel as they cool off. Depending on the season European migrant birds like the terns and gulls congregate here in large flocks. You will do the evening game drive on your way back to dinner and overnight. Day 9: Queen – Lake Mburo: Early morning breakfast and transfer to lake Mburo national park. You will make several breaks on the way to take photo moments at Kyambura view point, and other sites of interest. On arrival in lake Mburo take a walk up Kazuma hill to take the beautiful views of lake Mburo landscape before retiring to dinner and overnight. Other optional activities include; horse riding looking for game, game drive, a community fishing tour experience or a boat cruise on lake Mburo. Rwakobo rock or UWA bandas (BLD)

Day 10: Lake Mburo – Kampala: After breakfast embark on the morning game drives as we head out of the park. Drive to Kampala via Mabamba swamp looking for the elusive shoebill. Arrive in kamala in time of dinner Forest cottages BLD

Day 11: Kampala: Open for relaxation in Kampala transfer to Entebbe in the evening. (B)    (END OF TRIP)
