Through this fly-in three days trip, you will earn yourself scenarios of the landscape with large herds of wildlife, a unique untouched landscape and wildlife in its natural state as you have never seen before. You will also visit the Ik tribe chiefdom (a subsection of the Karamajong) where you will participate in their dances, hunting and other living experience that they go through in their unique life next to the national park. Kidepo valley national park is yet the least visited of the ten Uganda’s national parks. You will also take time to go to the homestead of the cattle keepers and learn the daily roles and activities of this remote cattle keeping community. You also have a chance to participate in the dances, cattle rearing, cultural dressing and crafts making. You will be amazed by the rich experience that you can also stamp by taking your self-made souvenir during the crafts making workshops.
Day 1: Entebbe – Kidepo valley National park: After breakfast, you will be transferred to catch your flight to Kidepo. On arrival to be picked by the driver guide and after checking in your hotel you will do the afternoon game drive to take the chances of spotting wildlife in this rich ecosystem. Common site is the breath taking scenery of the landscape and wildlife including cats, African Elephants, Leopard, Bush bucks, Giraffes, African Buffaloes and much more. On a lucky day, you may spot the lions typical of Kidepo on the rocks at the entrance of Apoka park headquarters or along the Narus valley.
Day 2: Kidepo valley national park: Today you have a full day of exploring Kidepo Valley National park in a series of activities including game drives, nature and cultural walks, hot springs visits mixed with relaxing moments to enjoy the unique scenery of Kidepo landscape. Start with an early morning breakfast and packed lunch before you start the game drives and walks to the hot springs via the palm trees lined along Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches and leopards, tortoises along the way. You may choose to participate in the guided nature walk, mountain trekking to visit the Ik tribe chiefdom to participate in their dances and other cultural activities. You will then return to your hotel later in the day.
Day 3: Kidepo to Kampala: Take an early breakfast, followed by a morning game drive. You will be looking for the usual multitudes of wildlife. After the game drive, you will transfer to the airstrip to catch the flight back to Entebbe. For longer trips, this is the best time to fly to any other national park. Arrive in Kampala and be picked to the hotel or proceed to catch your international flight.
